Russian Startup Dostavista, The Owner Of Thailand’s Mr Speedy Delivery Service, Raises US $15 Million
Russian based startup, Dostavista , raised a total of US$ 15 million in a series B funding that was lead by Vostok New Ventures, with participation from existing investors Flashpoint and AddVenture.

The “crowdsourced” same-day delivery service was founded in Russia but operates in several countries especially in Asia under the Brand Mr Speedy. Currently in operations I 11 countries including Thailand, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Korea, Philippines, Turkey, Mexico, Brazil and off course Russia. It employs a total of more than 450 staff and is on track to hit a us$100 GMV run rate. Its biggest revenue generating centres are India, Vietnam, Philippines and Indonesia.
The Dostavista mobile app allows an economy-styled courier to be booked to pick up and deliver the requested item in a claimed “less than 90 minutes. Dostavista’s success can be attributed to the highly competitive and usually cash-intensive market of delivery, which has made it profitable through its promised time of picked up and delivery.
Dostavista founded in 2012 by Mike Alexandrovski, after he initially considered creating a game where players would be asked to deliver virtual items before pivoting to the real thing.
Alexandrovski in an interview with Thailand Startup News commented, “We are constantly looking at newer and innovative ways to solve the issues of how to make delivery times even shorter and also make it even cheaper and more affordable for all customers.”
The funds raised will be used to invest further in further evolving Dosvista’s product, and also for more aggressive marketing and sale and also increasing its global staffing.
